Looking toward the west side of Lower Cut Meat Creek Camp Day School Part of the roof of the carpenter shop shows over the horses and cow shed. The blacksmith shop (lean to at the left) were built in 1895. 15 cords of oak fire wood shows in front of and beyond the carpenter shop. The wood was provided by the government each year to cook and heat the buildings. Behind the group of children to the southeast is Congee (Crow) log house. The 'Bad Lands' come within 25 ft. of the shop on the north. Notice the gate to right of the house which leads to the dam and irrigated garden built by Bratley and male students.
