Kodiak bear ( Alaskan Brown Bear Group, (Penninsula Giant Bear), Ursus gyus) mannequin in taxidermy lab is sitting, in profile. The bear mannequin was created by Museum Preparator Albert C. Rogers and served as the "frame" on which to mount the bear hide. The photo was taken by DMNH personnel during the course of their work documenting the Museum building and exhibits. The completed bear shown in the diorama in photo #00-3258B.
