Kodiak bear also known as an Alaskan Brown Bear Group, (Penninsula Giant Bear), Ursus gyus) mannequin in taxidermy lab is in a sitting position. The bear mannequin was created by Museum Preparator Albert C. Rogers and served as the "frame" on which to mount the bear hide. The photo was taken by DMNH personnel during the course of their work documenting the Museum building and exhibits.
