Gertrude Van Roekel stated: Santa Harina is wearing traditional beaded buckskin cape and fringed shawl with old-style cotton dress with loose outer sleeve and closed inner sleeve. She has a Plains-style bone and bead long necklace. Note her genuine smile seldom seen in this collection of photos. Santa Harina was an outstanding craftswoman in beadwork and was married to Bobby Manwell who was the local store manager. Her children and grandchildren became government employees. The tipi is well contructed as indicated by the flap and pin closings.
