From left, an unidentified man and Philip Reinheimer, fossil prospecting at the Trigonias quarry located near Horsetail Creek. There are few pictures of Mr. Reinheimer in the field; normally he is pictured in the bone lab articulating large skeletons for exhibit. Mr. Reinheimer was the Museum's Chief Preparateur. The discovery of the Trigonias quarry was quite significant and led to the discovery of a variety of prehistoric rhinoceroses including least three complete Trigonias skeletons as well as at least thirty-seven skulls, fifty-nine pairs of mandibles, eight pelvic girdles, eight trays of vertebrae, several complete sets of ribs, and numerous limb bones. Duplicate fossils were used in exchange with various institutions across the country including The Field Museum and Harvard University.
