description:
|
Mount being prepared for exhibit. This photo features raw skin of a rhino which has been plumped in borax carbolic water. The hide has been laid over a clay model which has not yet been finished. This step helps with the modeling process. DMNH staff would often take photographs to document work done at other museums. Scanning and access made possible by a grant from NEH.
