description:
|
Mount being prepared for exhibit. This photo features the removal of the mold from a rhinoceros mannequin. Where the mold remains, feather like cellulose seams show. These are later broken off and finished. Taxidermy lab and unidentified lab worker visible. DMNH staff would often take photographs to document work done at other museums. Scanning and access made possible by a grant from NEH.
