description:
|
Hippopotamus mount being prepared for exhibit. This photo features the hide of a hippo which is being adjusted on the clay model which lays upside-down on the floor. Taxidermy lab, tools, and clay miniature models are visible. DMNH staff would often take photographs to document work done at other museums. Scanning and access made possible by a grant from NEH.
