Magnificent Frigatebirds (Fregata magnificens sitting on a nest in a tree photographed on Isabela Island (Isla Isabel) of the Revillagigedo Island group off Baja peninsula's Pacific coast. The species is colonial, nesting in bushes and trees (and on the ground in the absence of vegetation) in colonies of up to several thousand pairs. A single dull chalky-white egg is laid during each breeding season.
