A Tohono O'odham home made of Sahuaro [saguaro] ribs, Mesquite poles, and adobe bricks reinforced with clay. What appears to be a bedframe stands outside. After graduating from Columbia University in Anthropology, Ruth Underhill studied a group of Native Americans in southern Arizona. Through her scientific research she was able to preserve the original language, poetry and songs of the Tohono O'odham (Papago) people
