Written by JH Bratley "The two villages, Sichumovi and Tewa, a little more than 1/4 mi. back of Walpi, connected by a trail worn in the solid rock some 8 or 10 inches deep by the callused bear [sic] feet of these Indians throughout the centuries These 3 villages are on the first Mesa; West and 1/4 mi above the school and teacher's cottage."
