description:

Sally Gorambulla is seated before an outdoor oven, patterned after the Pueblo style. Standing are Mabel Gorambullo and a visitor. Ovens were constructed over an arch lattice of branches with adobe mud applied. The hole at the back is the chimney. Opposite is the opening for placing unleaven bread inside on the adobe floor. The oven was heated with a fire built inside, later removed, and wiped out. The openings were covered preserve heat.
