description:
|
Gertrude Van Roekel states: Temporary shelter of scrub oak branches as a shade and support, also serves as a line for drying meat out of reach of dogs. Small canvas tent erected temporarily until the family moves on to grazing pastures. The grandmother, seated in the tent under a calico shawl, will move with the family. She avoids direct contact with her son-in-law, as this is tabu. The tied goat probably to be sold or bartered.
