Information provided by Gertrude Van Roekel: Ramada (brush shelter) is constructed of scrub oak for summer living. Nights are spent in the tipi. Probably a temporary home for harvesting of grain or hay. Permanent homes were never set out alone, nor were they ever this close to a tree due to lightening danger.
