Information provided by Gertrude Van Roekel: "The tipi is not always used as a home, but for ceremonial activities. It is evident that this is a 'home' used regularly as it is smoke stained, the hide is hanging on the tree, wagon (right is near-by with an essence of parmanency about the settlement. The Indian woman has a modified style of Indian dress made of calico. Her visitor is, no doubt, an anglo nurse or social worker from the Dulce Agency."
