Information provided by Gertrude Van Roekel: "Broad leather belt pocketed a hand-made coin purse attached by a leather thong. It also concealed a short-handled, sharp-bladed knife. The tipi, hand sewn by the women, was their home at times but largely was used ceremoniously. Today, they are only used for a ceremony, at fiestas, and for visitor display."
