description:

This outdoor living scene is outside the home, not shown. The poles make a center of living and later in the summer will be covered with oak brush for a shade or shelter. Several mothers of the extended family visit often. The oldest lady has all her married daughters living close. This, being a matriarchial society she is the ruling and dominate personage, even over the husband and son-in-law. If the mother dies the oldest daughter reigns in her stead.
