Information provided by Gertrude Van Roekel: The tipi has good long, straight poles and a flap for controlling ventilation. The tent is probably for temporary use. There is a hillside of trees beyond the tipi and tent. These structures were always erected in a more or less open space to avoid lightning strikes. The reservation was open for camping except for certain areas designated for particular families as long as they used them.
