DMNS exhibit 'La Brea Tar Pit' originally found in Fossil Mammal Hall. Removed 2001-2002 to make way for the Space Odyssey Exhibit which opend in 2003. The mounting of the giant sloth (Paramylodon harlani) was done by mount maker Henry Wichers.
