The excavator is a unique sight at a paleontology site as the driver assists with removing dirt to locate additional bones at the Stegomastodon dig at Weiss Gravel Pit near Holycke, Colorado. In the foreground is the vertebra of the stegomastodon surrounded by some of the tools of the dig.
