Trigonias skeleton in the bone lab, being articulated and mounted. This photo was taken by Denver Museum of Natural History (now known as Denver Museum of Nature & Science) to document the Museum exhibit preparation and restoration of the Trigonias fossils. This complete skeleton was found at the Trigonias quarry excavation site which was quite significant and yielded at least three complete Trigonias skeletons as well as at least thirty-seven skulls, fifty-nine pairs of mandibles, eight pelvic girdles, eight trays of vertebrae, several complete sets of ribs, and numerous limb bones. The site yielded remains of a variety of prehistoric rhinoceroses. Duplicate skeletal materials were used in exchange with various institutions across the country including The Field Museum and Harvard University.
