description:
|
Mount being prepared for exhibit. This photo features raw skin of a rhino which has been plumped in borax carbolic water. The front half of the hide and the horns have been laid on top of the clay model. This step helps with the modeling process. The photo was taken by DMNH staff to document the preparation of exhibits and dioramas. Scanning and access made possible by a grant from NEH.
