Hyracotherium mandible found in Fremont County, Wyoming. Hyracotherium averaged about two feet in length, was 8 to 14 inches high at the shoulder and weighed about 50 pounds. Hyracotherium is believed to be a browsing herbivore that ate primarily soft leaves as well as some fruits, nuts, and plant shoots.
