Partial skeleton of a Marshosaurus bicentesimus found at Dinosaur National Monument (Moffat County, Colorado) in the Morrison Formation (late Jurassic period, approximately 161 - 145 million years ago). This theropod was was a carnivore that was up to 16 - 20 feet in length with a 2 foot skull and named in 1976. This specimen was excavated by DMNS staff in 1991 under the supervision of Dr. Kenneth Carpenter DMNS Chief Preparator and Curator of Paleontology.
