Vigango Totems are carved from termite-resistant wood by members of the Giriama/Mijikenda people near Soleni in southeastern Kenya.They are erected to commemorate relatives and important village headmen. This view is of the back of the object which has no carving on it. This artifact was repatriated to Kenya.
