Fieldwork with Steve Holen in Kanorado Kansas
creator of digital collection
From Dave Baysinger"s notes: the Kanorado locality is well known for mammoth, bison and camel bones in close proximity with human artifacts such as stone knives, scrapers and stone flakes. After systematically removing layers of dirt, the dirt is placed in buckets to be further examined to ensure that small artifacts are found. Note the lack of trees. The canopy provides the only shade at the work site.
