description:
|
Bilaterally, there are two incisors, a canine, and two premolars. This specimen is missing the first molar on the anatomical right side. The remaining molar may either be a second or third molar. On the left, three molars are visible. These teeth are from the lower jaw. We can learn a lot from the teeth seen in a specimen like this. Age, quality of life, diet, even stress levels and sometimes cause of death can be found in the teeth. For example, missing teeth can be a sign either of old age or poor diet and dental care.
