description:
Drills or perforators and tools of unknown use from the Moore and Casbier Sites. Two have rounded bases and tapering points, and one is roughly triangular. Another has a point more clearly differentiated from the base which is convex and side-notched. The fifth is a slender, finely flaked artifact of chalcedony. The base is very small and thin. The sixth piece is probably an example of the utilization of a flake. The butt is extremely thick and apparently little effort has been made to shape it; part of the iron-stained surface crust of the rock from which the flake was struck remains. The concave edge is flaked on both faces and the other only on one. It is reminiscent of distinctive cutting and scraping implement, and could have been used for the same purpose, but it could also have served as a perforator.
