fossil leaf fromm the DMNS Plaeobotany dept. The castle Rock site was discovered in a roadcut created by CDOT during a higway project near Castle Rock, Colorado by geologist Steve Wallace. The collection was found in the Daswson Arkose formation near the K-T Boundary. It is the earliest known rainforest in North America dating back to 63 million years ago.
