John A. McGuire with a hunted moose. This was the first museum field trip outside the contiguous United States. Forty days were spent in the field, during which time 24 specimens of large mammals were obtained. The Alaskan Brown Bear, collected by McGuire on this trip, is still on display in the Grizzly Bear diorama.
