Pack horses near Descalvados, Brazil. In 1925, a Museum expedition to South America was undertaken to collect bird and mammal specimens for exhibit in the Standley Memorial Wing. Another trip was organized in 1928 to enhance the collection. Scanning and access made possible by a grant from NEH.
