This saddle is from field equipment used from 1908 to the 1960's on expeditions from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The embossed label on the saddle reads "Colorado Saddlery Denver". Famous "cowboys" such as John Wayne and Lorne Green, who played Ben Cartwright on the television show "Bonanza", were avid and loyal Colorado Saddlery customers and owned several custom made saddles.
