Old planetarium star machine made by the Spitz Planetarium Company used in the Gates Planetarium at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Spitz was the most well known maker of affordable star machines. Built in the 1950's, the A-1 was the first star machine that gave stars color. Only forty units of this model star machine were made.
