description:
|
Mastodon tusk found at the Snowmastodon Excavation site. Mammoths and Mastodons are related, but differing size, diet, and range. Mammoths are larger than Mastodons, have much longer tusks, and are primarily found in northern climates, while Mastodons are found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica. Mastodon tusks are shorter and straighter than those of Mammoths, which are curved and can be as long as the Mammoth is tall.
